THE U2 FILE - A Hot Press U2 History

The U2 File was the first ever major book about U2. Published in 1985, and edited by Niall Stokes – with a cover shot by Colm Henry that was beautifully hand-tinted by photographer and artist Amelia Stein – it captured the giddy seven years of explosive coverage of the band that went on to change the world, in the pages of Hot Press. In a powerful, as-it-happened style, it charts the rise of the band from their earliest appearances as a four-piece in 1978 to their triumphant sell-out  gig in Croke Park, Dublin, 1985, at the end of the Unforgettable Fire tour. Please note that there is just a small number of these original, unused – but inevitably time-worn – collectors’ items available.
